Overview
The Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS) awards research scholarships to talented early-career researchers who have completed a master’s degree, for a PhD, postdoc or research stay at a Swiss university, ETH Zurich, EPFL or ETH Domain institute. You need a supervisor in Switzerland to back your application.
The 2027–28 round opened on 20 August 2026. Deadlines are set per country — for Pakistan, check the country factsheet and the Swiss Embassy in Islamabad. Applications are free; beware of fake offers asking for money.
