Overview
MIT says it is “need blind, need based, and full need for all students, international and domestic”. Your ability to pay does not affect admission, and admitted students who apply for aid have their full demonstrated need met with grants (MIT Scholarships), not loans.
From 2025–26, families with typical assets and income under $200,000 attend tuition-free, and families under $100,000 are not expected to contribute. Apply for aid with the CSS Profile alongside your MIT application.
