Overview
MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships support researchers holding a PhD to move to a new country and develop their careers through research, training and networking. Researchers of any nationality can apply.
Two formats
- European Postdoctoral Fellowships: 1 to 2 years in an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country
- Global Postdoctoral Fellowships: 2 to 3 years in total — 1 to 2 years outside Europe, then a mandatory 1-year return phase in Europe
The fellowship covers a living allowance, a mobility allowance and, where applicable, family, long-term leave and special-needs allowances. The host also receives funding for research, training and management costs.
Who can apply
A PhD by the call deadline (a defended but not yet awarded degree is also considered) and no more than eight years of research experience after the PhD. Mobility rule: you must not have lived or worked in the host country for more than 12 months in the 36 months before the deadline.
