Overview
Funded by China’s Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC), this scholarship supports international students and teachers learning Chinese. Besides short programs and a master’s, it includes four-year bachelor’s programs (for example, Chinese Language and Literature or International Chinese Language Education, depending on the host university).
Applications are made on chinese.cn, where you choose a recommending institution (such as a Confucius Institute) and a host university. In 2026 the portal opened on 1 March and the deadline for September-start programs was 7 May.
